2021 has been a tough year for all with the country grappling with COVID-19 pandemic. We at DVUS channelized our efforts towards not only sensitizing and empowering communities to fight the pandemic but also continued with our interventions for improving their health and developmental indicators.

Adolescent groups were formed and empowered in villages, free masks were distributed, adolescent were provided with pens, stationary and partial support was provided for their education, awareness generation sessions were held among children and parents regarding critical gender issues such are girl child education and child marriage, sessions were also conducted around hand hygiene and covid appropriate behaviours along with addressing vaccine hesitancy, life skills and leadership training sessions were also organised among adolescent girls, sanitary napkins were distributed and WASH related information was provided and interventions for food and nutrition security such as formation of kitchen garden, linking adolescent girls and pregnant/lactating women to government schemes, early and exclusive breastfeeding sessions were also conducted. Despite of the severe challenges during Pandemic we left no stone unturned to keep the track record of our basic health indicators intact. Coverage reports in the graph will help you depict the efforts we made in : promoting and ensuring safe institutional deliveries, boosting immunity of infants by providing timely routine immunization services to prevent them for hazardous diseases, ensuring zero dose of BCG and Polio to the new born.
